Wristwatch Edition Weidmann

For quite a while, I felt the desire to own a mechanical wristwatch with a modern & minimal design. While then working at Foster+Partners, I discovered a watch company in my Swiss hometown developed a ground-breaking super-thin automatic movement in 1954. A watch collector offered me a very rare new-old-stock of 15 movements from which I’m now designing a limited edition of 12. Each watch will have its serial number as one hour on its dial. I designed, engineered and fabricated a monobloc watch case, with a domed sapphire glass at the front, a flat glass at the back - to see the movement, the crown and the buckle - all water prove and in tarnish prove Argentium silver.
